With a 16-year history, MundoGEO group is strengthened by new professionals for content generation, led by the new editor, the geographer Alexandre Scussel

MundoGEO, the Latin American leader in integrated media and communications solutions for the geospatial and location industries, through its founder and publisher Emerson Granemann, is proud to announce that Alexandre Scussel is the new Editor of MundoGEO Magazine and Web Portal. Furthermore, the editorial team is supported from now on by two new members: Izabela Prates and Pamela Lunelli, students of Geography and Cartographic Engineering.

To keep on generating content in MundoGEO Magazine and Web Portal, as well as promoting events, MundoGEO has gone through a brief restructuration and announced the name of its new Editor and Coordinator of webinars, seminars and the MundoGEO#Connect conference, the geographer Alexander Scussel. Graduated in Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Scussel is a Computer Technician and a student about higher education. Alexandre works in MundoGEO since 2010, participating in all major projects of the company, also contributing as a translator for the GSDI Latin America Newsletter. The former editor Eduardo Freitas will, from now on, manage the new company of MundoGEO group. Created in May 2014, GEOeduc Institute has more than 1,300 students.

“The geospatial industry has evolved fast in the past few years, following the major global technological trends” says Scussel. “We have a great expectation for the next few years, and new projects are coming. We’ll continue the reference work that MundoGEO plays in Latin America, always with the goal of connecting users with the geospatial solutions and the market” he adds. From now on, Freitas will collaborate with MundoGEO on subjects like geospatial trends, professional training, market research, among others.

MundoGEO group is strengthened by new professionals and a whole new education institute

With this new structure, MundoGEO and GEOeduc Institute start a brand new independence stage between the two companies – the first focused on media and communications, and the second one specialized in professional training and market research – without neglecting the synergy between them. “The mission that inspired the creation of MundoGEO in 1998, which is connecting the geo community, now expands in order to offer new opportunities for professional training”, says Emerson Granemann.
