LiveView GPS announced this week the launch of its latest GPS tracker – the newly updated Live Trac EZ 3G GPS Vehicle Tracker. This next generation vehicle tracker takes seconds to install and provides standard 5, or 10-second vehicle-tracking position updates.

So, how does it work? A port known as the “On Board Diagnostic Port” or OBD-II port is installed on most trucks and cars built after 1996. It is designed to help technicians diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems. Typically, the port is located somewhere under the dash on the driver’s side. Once the port is located, it’s simply a matter of plugging it in and vehicle tracking begins.

And, this easy installation also makes it portable. If needed, it can quickly be moved from one vehicle to another.

The LiveViewGPS EZ GPS tracker is 100 percent web-based via the LiveViewGPS Live Trac tracking portal. It also provides alerts for items such as speed and ignition start-up; historical playback; satellite/hybrid/bird’s eye view mapping; and comprehensive reports.

The Live Trac EZ 3G operates on the AT&T 3G data network in the United States and will also work in over 180 countries around the world.

Now with a built-in battery back-up, the EZ can send sms and email alerts if tampered with. The EZ is also capable of getting vehicle diagnostics as well as fuel usage and identifying engine trouble codes.

“It’s ideal for both business vehicle tracking and personal use,” explains George Karonis, LiveViewGPS CEO. “Businesses will see a fast return on investment with the EZ, while parents of teen drivers instantly gain peace of mind.”
