From this year, as a new expression of commitment to the development of Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Americas, the Andean Development Corporation (in Spanish CAF) / Inter American Development Bank and GeoSUR have been directly connected with the GSDI Association as full time members.
GeoSUR program, led by the CAF and the Pan-American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH), serves geographic information from South America for its public use, which may be applied to planning and analyzing development activities.
Web services hosted by GeoSUR offer access to maps, aerial photographs and geographic data developed by participating agencies on issues such as: topography, environment and infrastructure, among many other applications.
