Federal Government published the Provisional Measure No. 547 of October 11, 2011, which amended the City Statute, the Law of Installment Land and the Law of the National System of Civil Defense (SINDEC).
With the new legislation, the Federal Government will establish a national register for counties with landslide-prone occurences of high impact or geologic processes related, in accordance with regulations to be issued.
The PM creates the obligation of the city to elaborate a mapping containing the areas of landslide occurrences of large impact or related geological processes, as well as creating letters of geotechnical guidelines for urbanization, urban regulations aimed at establishing the safety of new urban land subdivision.
