Esri, the leading GIS software company worldwide, has granted the recognized “Presidential Award” to GeoSUR Program. This is the highest honor granted by Esri and delivered during an executive seminar that takes place before the opening of its annual conference in San Diego, USA.
The prize was awarded to CAF and the Pan American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH) for development of the Latin American Portal driven by the GeoSUR Program. This is an important recognition of these two institutions and also to more than 60 institutions participating in this program.
Likewise, Esri Venezuela GeoSUR awarded its annual prize during a ceremony in Caracas during the month of July, which is also an important recognition of the efforts of CAF to integrate geographic information network in Latin America.
