Conference offers full slate of technology solutions in location analytics, mobile apps, and open source

Directions Magazine’s Location Intelligence 2014 conference will be held May 19-21, 2014, in Washington, D.C. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Now in its 10th year, the Location Intelligence (LI) Conference features the emerging trends that support the integration of location technology with business intelligence, analytics and location-based mobile applications. Once again, LI will be the host event for Oracle’s Spatial Summit. In addition, LI has added two major corporate partners: HERE and the Eclipse Foundation. HERE, a Nokia business, will provide an exclusive look inside its latest offerings in location content and services at the HERE Summit. The Eclipse Foundation will provide a full day of presentations focused on open source geospatial technology at the LocationTech Summit. This multi-track event will offer a unique business opportunity for corporations seeking to leverage location intelligence for a competitive advantage.

“We’ve developed a program that touches all facets of location intelligence: cloud computing, business intelligence and analytics, mobile location-based apps and social media, as well as the opportunities which leverage open source solutions,” said Joe Francica of Directions Magazine, conference chairman. “We’re extremely pleased to be able to expand the event with the addition of HERE and the Eclipse Foundation as well as maintaining our strong partnership with Oracle.”

“This 10th annual event for Oracle Spatial and Graph users promises to be the best ever.  We are excited to be adding joint training with HERE and showing how open source technologies can be used with Oracle’s spatial products.  We’ll also provide developer-led training on Oracle Database 12c and Oracle Fusion Middleware that can only be experienced at the Oracle Spatial Summit,” said James Steiner, Vice President, Server Technologies, Oracle.

“We are excited to showcase our latest content and solutions offerings for the Enterprise space.  Attendees will see the added benefits HERE brings to its customers and partners,” said Roy Kolstad, Vice President, Enterprise Sales, HERE.

“We are thrilled to be collaborating with Directions and the Location Intelligence conference again this year. The program this year also features high quality, location aware open source software for the enterprise,” said Andrew Ross of the Eclipse Foundation, and director of the LocationTech Working Group.

The event will offer attendees a unique opportunity to network with the key solution providers in the growing ecosphere of location intelligence.
