The Awards ceremony recognizes the best ones in geospatial industry. The community may now set the winners

Trofeus-Connect2013The Second Stage of MundoGEO#Connect Awards 2014 came to an end and the finalists in each category were unveiled. The geospatial community may now choose who should win. The awards ceremony will be held on May 8, the second day of MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2014, that will take place at the Frei Caneca Convention Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

With open online voting, MundoGEO#Connect Awards are held since 2011, recognizing people, institutions, companies, brands, equipments and systems that contributed to the development of the geospatial industry. The entire process is based on the community voting,  from the categories appointment to the winners choice.

Get to know the winners choice stages:

First stage (held in November) The geospatial community chose, through an online survey, the categories for the 2014 awards
Second stage (from December 1 thru February 14) Online poll in which the community may choose who should be the finalists (Top 5) for each category
Third and final stage (from February 17 thru April 18) The geospatial community will choose the winners for each category from a list of the five most voted in the previous stage

“It’s important to have in mind that 100% of the voting is online and made by the geospatial community, from the choice of categories to the five finalists and the winners,” said Emerson Granemann, director and publisher of MundoGEO, organizer of MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica Conference and Trade Fair.
