Every year the Institute of Navigation sponsors students participating in the ION GNSS editions.
The ION GNSS is one of the largest GNSS conferences in the world, organized yearly by the Institute of Navigation (ION). All the major companies in the area meet at the congress: receptor and electronic component makers, navigation service renderers and government companies among others.
The ION is also a hub for researchers from all over the world, who, in the three days of the event, present the latest developments in the sector. The next ION GNSS is taking place in september 2007 in Texas.
The sponsoring program for the 2007 ION GNSS is already being advertised. Winning students receive a grant which covers all travel and accomodation costs.
To participate, students must submit a full article to one of the sessions of the conference until the march 2007 deadline.
Students already awarded in previous editions are not entitled to the grant and the article must have the student himself as the only author.
In recent years, several students have been sponsored, which presents a great experience opportunity for those working with GNSS related research.
