Altus Launches APS-3 Based on Septentrio AsteRx2 Receiver

Septentrio, a European manufacturer of professional OEM GNSS receivers, will deliver its dual-frequency GPS/GLONASS OEM receiver modules AsteRx2 as a core component of Altus Positioning Systems’ new survey solution.

Altus Positioning Systems is a new company in the field of survey equipment, capitalizing on the experience of a team of engineers that have been involved in development of survey products since the beginning of the satellite surveying era. APS-3 is a fully integrated, compact and lightweight, high precision GNSS survey receiver and communications center unit specifically designed for survey applications.

AsteRx2 is Septentrio’s compact and low power dual frequency GPS/GLONASS OEM receiver module. AsteRx2 features high flexibility, provides quality all-in-view dual-frequency GPS data and offers excellent measurement quality for highprecision positioning even in challenging environments. Moreover, AsteRx2 features optional GLONASS functionality, thus increasing availability, reliability and accuracy of positioning in highly obstructed environments.
