Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announced that the City of Safety Harbor, Florida has procured products from GTG’s LG GIS software suite. The City will be implementing LGaddress- Land and LGviewer. LGaddress allows users to maintain address points via an intuitive ArcEngine based GIS application. By maintaining the HTE address master file in a GIS interface, the City has the ability to map every HTE land module record, this in turn gives the LGviewer users 100% confidence in the queries and searches against the database. Furthermore, LGaddress allows the GIS data attributes to be passed to the HTE database. The mass overlay functionality in LGaddress will pass attributes of a GIS layer to every record within that layer thus saving hours of manual entry by City staff.

James Kelt, Regional Manager for GTG stated, “For some time now the City of Safety Harbor, Florida has invested quite a bit of time and money in their HTE databases and GIS applications. Today, with LGviewer and LGaddress, the City will be able to marry these separate technologies into a seamless and powerful GIS interface that can be leveraged across the entire enterprise. The ultimate goal of LG is to provide tools for every department that will make the work flow of daily operations more efficient and effective. By using LG applications, city employees will be able visualize the HTE data in a whole new way, opening new opportunities in analyzing information such as work order, building permits, code enforcement violations, utility meters, occupational licenses and much more.”
