The last Council of the European Union decisions, at the end of 2007, gave all the necessary impulsion to the EGNOS and Galileo Programs under the umbrella of the European Commission.
The International Cooperation is an essential dimension of the European GNSS Programs. The GSA, in charge of managing Galileo Research & Development activities under the 7th Research Programme (FP7), gives high priority to the International Cooperation. Scientific and technological cooperation enables both Europe and others countries to benefit from mutual knowledge and expertise transfer.
More specifically, a strong component of the International Cooperation concerns the cooperation between Latin America and Europe, supported since 2005 by the Galileo Information Centre and its dissemination activities in the region.
In this context, the Galileo Information Centre organises the Galileo Networking Meeting for Industry, hosted by the Argentina Chamber of Commerce (CAC), in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on March 27th-28th, 2008.
* The Galileo Networking Meeting for Industry will address the following issues:
* Give an updated overview of the EGNOS and Galileo Programmes
* Present the scope of the international current activities in the Latin America
* Present the collaborative opportunities with Europe available under the FP7
* Develop network and constitute partnerships with the region
The Galileo Information Centre, supervised by the GSA invites you to participate to the Galileo Networking Meeting for Industry to foster the International Cooperation of the Galileo Programme.
Private sector, research organizations, public institutions and governments represent the Latin American key players who need to be involved
The long-term cooperation perspective will be stimulated by the formation of partnerships and in order to facilitate the networking activities during the event, we would encourage you to fill out the attached Expression of Interest form.
