Researchers are making the most complete geographic and cartographic characterize from the slaves comunities in Brazil to know the territory situation in each one of them and bring up informations that can accelelate the knowledgement process, especifing and naming.
Over 2,3 thousand slave camp already make part of the ethnic territory register, but only 5% have the register in the Brazil’s National Institute for Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra).
The comunnity cartographic research is one action of the Afrobrasilian Geograph Project, developed by the Aplication Cartograph Center and UnB Geographic Information.
