Rolta, a global solutions provider of innovative information technology solutions, today announced the strategic acquisition of OneGIS, Inc. of Atlanta, GA, USA.

OneGIS is an exceptional consulting, development and systems integration firm with an excellent track record of implementing geospatial and IT solutions.  Their keen industry insights has enabled OneGIS to successfully deliver sophisticated geospatial consulting to infrastructure management markets including electric, gas and water utilities, telecommunications companies and local and regional governments.  In addition to gaining a consulting track-record, Rolta has acquired the company’s intellectual property, including the OneView Mobile solution, to enrich its portfolio of IP.  This work-focused, asset-centric mobile GIS application allows field personnel to apply specific work-related actions to help automate their daily work assignments through its unique, user configurable, Action Framework.  OneView Mobile is already operational in several large Utilities and Telecoms within the North American Market.

OneView Mobile will become an integral part of Rolta’s GeospatialFusion which provides an enterprise-wide solution for spatial viewing, integration and business intelligence.  For utilities and infrastructure management businesses, one of the biggest challenges is to synchronize information across disparate systems and provide the business intelligence required to enable timely decision making with their field workforce.  This new combination of GeospatialFusion and OneView Mobile will be used to provide powerful productivity solutions that are synchronized between the office and field workforce.

The technical expertise of OneGIS will significantly expand Rolta’s current Geospatial Fusion service offerings by adding substantial consulting and domain experience in utilities and telecommunications.  OneGIS has deep knowledge of ESRI applications and integration experience of industry solutions such as Telvent’s facility and landbase information management software ArcFM, Telcordia’s telecom physical asset management software Network Engineer  and Azteca Systems’ work and maintenance management software Cityworks .  Rolta will capitalize on OneGIS’ in-depth knowledge and the impressive track-record of high-end consulting for a large customer base in North America, to rapidly bring innovative GeospatialFusion solutions to the market.

Chris Cirillo, CEO of OneGIS, said, "We are very pleased to become a part of Rolta’s GeospatialFusion strategy.  We always felt that it was a pioneering effort that would propel Rolta to the forefront of geospatial solution providers, and we can now play a significant part in this innovative approach!"

Mr. K. K. Singh, Chairman and CEO commented, "The strategic acquisition of OneGIS will greatly enhance our ability to provide innovative solutions to the utility, telecommunications and government markets.  The addition of OneView Mobile to our Geospatial Fusion Solution will address a critical area of future growth – mobile field force automation.  We are excited about the possibilities, and welcome OneGIS into the Rolta family."
