There are only 15 stands available. Large companies in the geotechnology field have confirmed their participation in the event
The industry’s largest gathering of geotechnology of Latin America, MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2012, will gather over 50 companies at the fair coinciding with forums, courses and workshops during the three day event. At this moment, there are only 15 stands available for the exhibition.
Emerson Granemann, director and publisher of MundoGEO, talks about how quick the stands are being booked for the event. “The acceptance of the event by sponsors and exhibitors has been very positive. Even six months to the event, there are only 30% of the stands available. We hope to sell all the spaces until the beginning of 2012.”
Large companies in the industry have already confirmed their sponsorship for the event. “We already have many of the field’s leading companies operating in Brazil in the service area and all major national distributors of products. We are currently negotiating with international companies which wish to attend to the event and learn more about the local market,” says Emerson. With the theme “Sharing information for a better world”, MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2012 will emphasize the current challenge of producing geospatial data, following the standards that make their full use simple by the information system users.
– The number of auditoriums for the activities of the event was expanded by 100% in relation to the 2011 event.
– Reaffirming the success of the first edition, which was held on 14, 15 and 16 of June 2011, MundoGEO#Connect 2012 will bring together over 10,000 attendees, including participants’ technical activities, fair’s activities, and people connected via social networks and online workshops, which will broadcast about 10% of the event.
– Some simultaneous events are already confirmed: Users of the Geotechnologies of Sao Paulo State, Users of – Geotechnologies of Sao Paulo, the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) and OGC standards.

About MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica
The MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2012 is the largest geotechnology industry event in Latin America and will take place between May 29 and 31, at the Frei Caneca Convention Center, in Sao Paulo (SP). With the theme “Sharing information for a better world”, the expectation is to bring together 10,000 people in the field, including participants in the workshops and mini-courses, the exhibit visitors and people connected via webinar and social networks. The event is achieved by MundoGEO with the release of MundoGEO and InfoGPS portals, InfoGEO, InfoGNSS and Mira magazines, as well as international support from OGC, ISPRS and Gita, and dissemination by Directions Magazine, GIM International, V1 Magazine, Professional Surveyor and Geo Connexion. The first edition of MundoGEO#Connect took place between the 14 and 16 of June of 2011 in Sao Paulo (SP), bringing together over 7500 people.
