Founded in 1997, The University of Sharjah is a semi-governmental higher educational institute in the Emirate of Sharjah, UAE. The University is famous for the education in Social Science, Business Administration, Engineering, and Medicine not only in UAE but also in the Gulf Region.
After the recommendation of Evolving GeoSystems Technologies, SuperGeo’s partner in UAE, the Department of Management Information Systems in the College of Business Administration selected SuperGIS Desktop 3 for its comprehensive GIS functions. The faculty would like to apply geospatial technologies to the teaching and research by means of GIS software to display, edit, analyze, manage, and integrate the spatial data with the management information in the Department.
Since the geospatial industry in the Gulf Region has been growing rapidly in the past years, SuperGeo along with its regional distributors are promoting SuperGIS technologies for the localized utilization of GIS software and solutions.
