Blue MarbleBlue Marble Geographics’ Director of Product Management, Sam Knight, will be giving a talk at NOAA’s Northeast Regional Ocean Council’s Northeast LiDAR & Sea Level Rise Impacts Workshop on July 10 and 11 in Portland, Maine.

Blue Marble’s geospatial data manipulation, visualization and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as governmental and university organizations.

Knight will speak on post-processing of LiDAR data with the Blue Marble Desktop and Global Mapper.  The talk will demonstrate the latest LiDAR post processing tools for coping with these challenges in the software.  Both tools have powerful features for preparing data and analyzing it, whether it be in transforming the elevations between geoid models, processing the high volumes of point cloud data into manageable chunks, or deriving terrain surfaces and performing watershed and sea level rise analysis.

“We’re pleased to be able to participate in the Northeast LiDAR Workshop,” stated Blue Marble President Patrick Cunningham, “Blue Marble software and services are great solutions for dealing with challenging data like LiDAR.”
