Luis Bermudez, Director of the Interoperability Certification at the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), attended the event MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2012, held May 29 thru 31 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
During the event, the executive officer that was for the first time in Sao Paulo, talked to MundoGEO team and explained why Brazil is a strong ally of the OGC, and also, emphasized the pioneering projects of Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI), such as the european project Inspire.
Finally, he explained that his visit to the country was intended to get closer to institutions that can join the OGC, to promote best practices regarding geospatial data.
