At the 2013 Esri User Conference, AeroMetric announced GeoApps, a new family of geospatial cloud solutions that operationalize geospatial data and services from their acquisition in any sensor through its deployment within the enterprise. GeoApps leverage AeroMetric’s capabilities in collection, processing, and Enterprise GIS as well as our end-markets’ expertise to transform traditional mapping deliverables into actionable decision-making and operational tools that are integrated in the client’s work environment.
AeroMetric GeoApps consist of ongoing service agreements that can include software-as-a-service (SaaS), data-as-a-service (DaaS), and support by AeroMetric staff. Currently AeroMetric is conducting pilot programs with select clients in several areas including Emergency Response, Energy Infrastructure, and Environmental Applications. “AeroMetric’s expertise in mapping is well known. However, for the past several years we have started to go beyond just delivering maps. Our clients’ ultimate goal is to enable their geospatial data and capabilities in the cloud and embed them into their daily operations,” said Antonio Montoya, AeroMetric’s vice president of marketing.
According to Dr. Terry Keating, AeroMetric’s chief technology officer, “There are many technologies out there to enable geospatial data in the cloud, but few firms have actually implemented them with very large amounts of data and for mission critical applications. We are partnering with our clients to develop precisely tailored solutions that respond to their business requirements and are seamlessly embedded in their operations.”
“Our sensor to deployment approach is unique because we do not stop at the traditional geospatial data delivery, but extend our services to provide a solution that is integrated with the client workflows,” said Marvin Miller, AeroMetric’s senior vice president of business development.
