Altus Positioning Systems has announced that it has signed Geo Instrumentos as a new dealer for its GNSS surveying products in Chile.
Geo Instrumentos, based in Santiago, Chile, will provide sales and service for the Altus APS-3 and APS-U GNSS receivers to customers in the mining, construction, mapping, survey, and government sectors.
The APS-3 is a robust and versatile GNSS RTK survey-grade receiver. Its compact, lightweight and modular design allows for maximum flexibility with all wireless modules completely internal for ultra portability. Easy and simple to use, the APS-3 is completely configurable from the data collector via Bluetooth for either Base or Rover operation with the internal UHF radio, or for Network Rover operation with the internal cellular modem.
The APS-U is designed primarily for machine control applications. It provides multi-frequency GNSS capability together with GNSS Heading, L-Band positioning and wireless communications within a rugged MIL-STD-810 housing for the broadest range of applications.
“We expect the appointment of Geo Instrumentos to stimulate growth for Altus products in the South American market,” said Neil Vancans, president and CEO of Altus Positioning Systems. “The company has a proven track record in sales and technical support for GNSS surveying, mapping and machine control applications in this important region.”
