ArcGIS users can now easily identify Esri partners with skills and experience in delivering ArcGIS Online apps and services thanks to the new ArcGIS Online Specialty. The ArcGIS Online Specialty designates partners in the Esri Partner Network that have developed a proven set of value-added services and solutions that help users implement and optimize ArcGIS Online in their organizations.

With the release of ArcGIS 10.2, thousands of ArcGIS for Desktop users now have access to complimentary ArcGIS Online organizational subscriptions. The ArcGIS Online Specialty initiative is designed to help users quickly identify local partners in their community who can help them with everything from getting started with ArcGIS Online to developing and producing custom applications that take full advantage of web GIS.

“ArcGIS Online is transforming the way organizations manage and share their spatial data with internal stakeholders and external customers,” said Esri president Jack Dangermond. “The ArcGIS Online Specialty allows us to recognize and collaborate with our partners that have embraced ArcGIS Online and are helping users succeed.”

Five early-adopter partners have obtained the ArcGIS Online Specialty designation for offering their expertise, apps, and services to the user community:

Eagle Information Mapping
GEO-Jobe GIS Consulting
GISi
GTG
SSP Innovations

Organizations such as the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) are already realizing the benefits of the ArcGIS Online Specialty. With the help of Esri partner GEO-Jobe, MNPS was able to spatially enable its data warehouse to better understand its data. “With ArcGIS Online, we’re able to securely expose spatially enabled warehouse data to decision makers in a very user-friendly way,” said Ryan Latimer, GIS lead for MNPS. “In addition to being able to view the data, they can actually perform spatial analysis to identify patterns and areas of positive and negative outcomes. Meaningful maps can then be securely shared with other users and accessed in a variety of ways to support the decision-making process.”

To qualify for the ArcGIS Online Specialty, members of the Esri Partner Network must submit an application and demonstrate their knowledge and expertise with ArcGIS Online. To inquire about the ArcGIS Online Specialty, contact the Esri Partner Network team at partnerresourcecenter@esri.com.
