Merrick Expands Services in Latin America Merrick & Company, a $116 million engineering, architecture, design-build, surveying, planning, and geospatial services firm, is expanding its services in Latin America. The firm has a 10-year history of working in Mexico and Central and South America through its geospatial division, Merrick Advanced Photogrammetry of the Americas (MAPA; Guadalajara & Mexico City).  Merrick’s geospatial products and services in Latin America will continue as the firm expands its focus to include the life sciences and technology sector, industrial biotechnology (biofuels/bioproducts), infrastructure, surveying, and oil and gas.

The expansion of Merrick’s life sciences services includes planning, design, commissioning, and consulting for biocontainment labs, research and development, diagnostic labs, animal/plant/human health labs, food safety facilities, and renewable energy research labs.

Leading the firm’s life sciences expansion in Latin America is Luis Linares, MArch, who is located in Mexico City.  Linares brings nearly 15 years of experience in life sciences and research lab planning and design to the biocontainment and biosecurity research facilities market.  Prior to joining Merrick, Linares served as a leader in design and development of research and containment laboratory projects in Mexico, Canada, and the US.
