Aveva announced that JSC NIAEPJSC Atomstroyexport (ASE), the leading engineering company in the Russian nuclear industry, has signed an agreement to use Aveva’s engineering & design software.

“Specialists of JSC NIAEP-ASE have created and are now successfully using the unique Multi-D technology that supports the whole lifecycle of a nuclear plant – from engineering & design phase to decommissioning. Moreover, we are sure that the experience and knowledge that we have gained over the years will be very useful both in the oil & gas sphere and in thermal power plants, where the plants are on a similar scale with nuclear power plants. Our goal is not only to diversify our specialty, but also to make the software technology we use more versatile and acquiring the Aveva software is another step in this direction,” said Sergey P. Olontsev, Vice-President JSC NIAEP-ASE.

“JSC NIAEP-ASE appreciates the capabilities of the Aveva solutions and the possibilities that our technology creates for their business. I believe that their world-class technical competence and the support from the whole Aveva team will help to ensure a long-term partnership for the future,” said Evgeny Fedotov, Senior Vice-President Russia, India & Middle East, Aveva.

The merger between JSC NIAEP and JSC Atomstroyexport (ASE) was established in March 2012 by the resolution of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. Thus, NIAEP has become a holding company JSC ASE. It is the leading engineering & design company in the Russian nuclear industry. It designs, constructs and decommissions over 30% of nuclear plants worldwide. It has agreements to design and erect more than twenty power generating units in Russia and abroad.
