Clark Labs maintains a variety of agreements with non-profit organizations to assist in the cultivation of Earth Science research. As James Toledano, Executive Director of Clark Labs, states, “Environmentally, we are at a pivotal point in our Earth’s history. The TerrSet software gives scientists the means to assess human impacts on the environment and plan for future interventions. Clark Labs is proud to provide these tools for the research projects in the NASA DEVELOP program.” The newly released TerrSet software provides vertical application modelers for research in climate change, land use change and earth trends analysis, to name a few.
Such capacity in the software therefore will prove very useful for the research in the NASA DEVELOP program. “DEVELOP projects often focus their analysis on monitoring change,” Lauren Childs-Gleason, DEVELOP Operations Lead at NASA indicated. “TerrSet’s capabilities to simulate future land change are extremely useful for the research teams and to their partners as it provides another data point for decision makers to enhance their decisions. We’re excited to have this resource available to our participants as they build their capacity to use Earth observations and create decision support tools.”
