Telespazio announces agreement with SpaceX to commercialize Starlink services

Telespazio, a joint venture between Leonardo (67%) and Thales (33%), one of the world’s leading operators in the field of satellite solutions and services, announces an agreement with SpaceX for the commercialization of Starlink services.

Starlink is a satellite constellation designed to provide broadband internet services around the world, especially in rural areas underserved by other networks.

Thanks to this agreement, Telespazio will be able to integrate Starlink into its global hybrid connectivity network, made up of satellite and terrestrial solutions, capable of guaranteeing reliable and resilient communications services (fixed and mobile), with worldwide coverage.

Its activities range from the development and design of space systems to the management of launch services, control of satellites in orbit and Earth observation, integrated communications, satellite navigation and location services for scientific programs. In 2023, Telespazio generated sales of 700 million euros, employing 3,300 people in 15 different countries.
