DJI has just introduced the new DJI Neo, a gateway to the world of professional drones. Accessible to beginners, the DJI Neo is compact, weighing just 135 grams.
The DJI Neo stands out among drones weighing up to 250 grams by offering a series of new features. The drone has 1-axis mechanical and electronic image stabilization, 22 GB of internal storage and QuickTransfer for fast file transfers.
Equipped with visual and GNSS sensors, the Neo provides vision and satellite positioning and the “Return to Home” function. In addition, its 4K recording and lightweight design, with propeller guards, ensure a safe and intuitive experience, making it easier for new users to introduce themselves to the world of drones.
You can easily control the drone without your cell phone, using the button located on the top, where the following commands are located: Follow, Dronie, Circle, Rocket, Spotlight, Customizable (DirectionTrack, Helix or Boomerang). After selecting a command, the drone must be placed in the palm of your hand and facing your face. This way, the drone will take off, execute the chosen command and return to land in the palm of your hand.
With your cell phone, you can adjust the parameters of these commands and also fly the drone freely, in addition to using voice commands in English or Mandarin. It is also possible to record audio in videos using the cell phone’s microphone.
The flight distance is 30m in height and 50m in distance. With the remote control, the DJI Neo now offers a maximum image transmission distance of up to 10 km. The flight autonomy is up to 18 minutes and it is capable of flying up to 7 km away.
The remote control allows you to switch between Cine, Normal and Sport modes, adjusting the drone’s speed as needed. In addition, if the control used is the DJI FPV 3, it is possible to access manual mode, providing greater flexibility for advanced maneuvers. The remote control also provides access to functions such as FocusTrack, which contains the Spotlight, Point of Interest (POI), ActiveTrack and autopilot modes.
