Satellite 2026 will bring together specialists from the aerospace and satellite industries for four days. Once again this year, Aaronia AG – a German specialist in real-time spectrum analysis and market leader in drone detection – will be represented in Washington, D.C., showcasing its current product portfolio.
At booth A2947, Aaronia will present its latest USB real-time spectrum analyzers, professional antenna technology, and -in addition to the world’s leading drone detection system, Aartos – its entire product portfolio for spectrum dominance.
Broadband measurements are becoming essential in satellite communications, radar systems, and wireless networks as the radio spectrum becomes increasingly congested. Modern signals are not only wider but also more dynamic: burst transmissions, agile frequency usage, beamforming, and complex modulation schemes generate short-lived emissions that conventional, slow-sweeping methods easily overlook. At the same time, requirements for coexistence, immunity to interference, and regulatory compliance are increasing. Anyone who wants to reliably detect, locate, and reproducibly analyze interference today needs real-time acquisition of wide bandwidths.
Measurements in the microwave range
The SPECTRAN® V6 real-time spectrum analyzers of the XPR family, equipped with sweep rates of >3 THz/s and state-of-the-art waveguide technology, enable the reliable analysis and evaluation of high frequency and rapidly changing signals in the microwave range. The SPECTRAN V6 PLUS XPR 250XB WR12, for example, offers 10 dB LF at 77 GHz. Despite its ability to stream IQ data seamlessly and continuously, the XPR series is a cost-effective solution. The waveguide connection on Aaronia AG’s real time spectrum analyzers allows for the integration of custom amplifier and splitter systems tailored to specific requirements.
Real-time acquisition
Aaronia’s SPECTRAN® V6 series of USB real-time spectrum analyzers, with real-time bandwidths of up to 450 MHz, enable reliable measurements even under extremely difficult conditions. They allow for faster spectrum updates and the capture of transient signals, which is particularly important when analyzing frequency-hopping signals or searching for intermittent interference. Continuous and thus seamless data acquisition without loss of information is no problem, even with short or intermittent signals.
Complex signal location in the field
This year, Satellite is expanding its reach with the debut of GovMilSpace to meet the needs and priorities of the defense sector. With the SPECTRAN® V6 Command Center, Aaronia AG is introducing what is currently the world’s fastest real-time spectrum analysis solution, designed for mobile high-end signal analysis. The system enables extremely fast broadband frequency monitoring with simultaneous detailed analysis, including data recording. This allows any signals to be displayed in a wide variety of ways.
Demodulation or decoding of many signal types can also be performed without difficulty. This makes the SPECTRAN® V6 Command Center the foundation for many solutions in the fields of frequency regulation, signal location, and drone detection.
The system comes with 128 GB of RAM and features an 8-terabyte SSD storage drive. This can be expanded to up to 120 terabytes as needed to store raw I/Q data from short signal pulses or long-term SPECTRA data. Thanks to the Smart Buffering solution, in which the oldest data is overwritten with new information, virtually “unlimited” recording time is available. Equipped with two 24-inch 4K monitors, the system is housed in a robust, outdoor-ready case with wheels, making it an easily transportable solution.
Visit us from March 23 to 26 at Satellite 2026 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., at our booth A2947 and experience the future of real-time spectrum analysis.
