The MundoGEO Connect, DroneShow Robotics, SpaceBR Show, and Expo eVTOL 2026 exhibitions welcomed over 12,000 visitors from 40 countries over three days, a 20% increase compared to the previous edition. Organized by MundoGEO, a company belonging to the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), the events took place from June 16th to 18th at the Expo Center Norte – Blue Pavilion, in São Paulo, Brazil, and once again positioned themselves as the leading meeting point in the Americas for the sectors of geointelligence, drones, space, and advanced air mobility.

The exhibition area spanned 14,000 square meters and brought together 170 exhibitors, including major national and international brands such as Leica, Topcon, DJI, CHCNAV, Nikon, Garmin, Trimble, Xmobots, EHang, Speedbird Aero, Globalstar, Saipher, Esri, Global Drones, IACIT, among others. In addition to the trade show, the content program was delivered by 200 speakers from various countries and totaled 150 hours of activities across 12 courses, nine seminars, three forums, and nine workshops.

Aeronautical authorities, regulatory agencies, other public bodies, and industry representatives linked to the event sectors were present at the stands and content activities. Among those present were the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB), Ministry of Defense (MD), Brazilian Air Force (FAB), Brazilian Navy, National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), Department of Airspace Control (DECEA), Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), Brazilian Aerospace Projects Company (ALADA), Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries (ABIMDE), and the Brazilian Aerospace Industries Association (AIAB). The Financing Agency for Studies and Projects (FINEP), the event’s sponsor, also participated.

ANAC launched new drone regulations at DroneShow Robotics

The highlight of DroneShow Robotics was the launch of the new rules for drone operation in Brazil. The regulatory update from ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil) was presented at the seminar “Challenges and Opportunities with the New Drone Regulations,” during the event’s opening, and included Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulation (RBAC) No. 100, which replaces RBAC-E No. 94.

Regulation will become more flexible, proportionate, and aligned with international best practices, while maintaining a focus on operational safety and the sustainable development of the sector. The new rules harmonize concepts and definitions with the standards adopted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and other aeronautical authorities, contributing to greater international integration of Brazilian unmanned aviation.

“RBAC No. 100 will allow for the legally safe scaling of the use of drones for spraying, mapping, inspections, and logistics in Brazil, in addition to providing greater security for contractors and service providers,” notes CEO of MundoGEO, Emerson Granemann.

MundoGEO Connect highlighted the importance of geointelligence

The concept of geointelligence, which integrates geographic data, satellite and drone imagery, as well as analytical technologies, was extensively explored during the MundoGEO Connect content program, especially in relation to territorial management and its uses in public security and defense.

The event also featured the important presence at the fair of Geosampa, from the São Paulo city hall, as well as several companies with equipment for reality capture. In parallel, the Esri Brazil 2026 User Meeting, organized by the company Imagem, was also held, along with activities on Geoinformation Production using AI in the Army’s Geographic Service, Corporate Governance of Drone Operations in the Vale Mining Company’s Fleet, and the Use of Sensors and Intelligence for Decision Making in Digital Agriculture by Embrapa.

“The event demonstrated, both in the lectures and at the trade show, the value of up-to-date and easily accessible geoinformation as an essential tool for intelligent decision-making,” Granemann points out.

SpaceBR Show featured a rocket on display

The presence of the Brazilian Microlauncher (MLBR), a national rocket being developed to place satellites into Earth’s orbit, caught the attention of all visitors to the SpaceBR Show, including the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Luciana Santos, and representatives from Finep. The content section discussed Brazil’s competitiveness and space sovereignty, as well as technologies that directly impact society.

“The event brings together all the civilian and military actors involved in the complex Brazilian space governance, providing greater visibility of the sector to society and creating an environment for new business in satellite solutions for Earth Observation, connectivity, IoT and telecommunications,” commented the CEO of MundoGEO.

Expo eVTOL discussed the advanced air mobility ecosystem

The topic of advanced air mobility is trending, and it was no different at the eVTOL Expo, where it was extensively debated in a two-day forum, as well as a course and a seminar with experts in the field. In all the discussions, it became clear that the implementation of this ecosystem, with its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, is getting closer and closer.

“While Brazil and the world await the certification of the aircraft, the eVTOL Expo brought together experts to discuss energy issues, rules for the construction of vertiports, modernization of airspace control, and the role of city administrations in soon welcoming this new mode of transport,” Granemann highlighted.

Next edition

The next edition of the MundoGEO Connect, DroneShow Robotics, SpaceBR Show and Expo eVTOL events will once again take place at Expo Center Norte – Pavilhão Azul, in São Paulo, Brazil, from June 15 to 17, 2027.
