Check out who were the three most voted in each category of MundoGEO#Connect 2013 Awards

The largest geospatial event in Latin America will recognize professionals, institutions, companies and brands that stand out in geosparial industry. The ceremony of MundoGEO#Connect 2013 Awards will be held on June 19 at 6pm, as part of MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2013, Conference and Trade Fair of Geomatics and Geospatial Solutions, which takes place at the Frei Caneca Convention Center, in Sao Paulo (SP).

The 2nd round of voting determined the winners among all the finalists. Now, you can check out the 3 most voted in each of the 24 award categories. During the ceremony, on June 19, it will be unveiled the first one of each category that will receive the award.

“In 2013 edition we received many suggestions from the community and then we canceled some categories and created other ones, such as ‘Best Facebook Page’, for example,” said Eduardo Freitas, technical coordinator of MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2013. “From there we invite everyone to vote in the five finalists, so we got the results that will be unveiled on June 19, after Brazil and Mexico soccer game. Certainly it will be a day of celebration for the geospatial community.”

“This year we had a significant number of international votes in  ‘the most memorable global brands’ category, resulting in Argentina and Mexico among the Top, which compete with Brazil in the ‘Best SDI Initiative in Latin America’ category,” said Emerson Granemann, CEO of MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica.
