In order to serve society and make it possible to integrate systems, networks, data and technologies – the so called “interoperability”- IBGE makes available the geoservices from the Continuous Cartographic Base of Brazil on scale 1:250,000 (1c=2.5 km), in the portal of National Spatial Data Infrastructure.

Geoservices are specific web services in the geospatial domain, constituting a powerful set of tools to collect, store, recover without restrictions, transform and present spatial data associated to a certain objective.

The Continuous Cartographic Base has its information layers published with the prefix “bc250” in the geoservice portal of IBGE. It can be accessed through one of the visualizers available on INDE: Vinde or i3Geo.

It has also been made available today, in the download portal of IBGE, the Continuous Cartographic Base database in open script format (PostgreSQL 9.x/PostGIS 2.x).
