Directions Magazine India announced the Survey India 2014 Conference, which will be held on 16-17 April in New Delhi at NDMC Convention Centre.

Survey India 2014 is the first national conference in India focused on surveying techniques and tools. The surveying profession is vitally important in supporting the rapid infrastructure expansion within India today. Equipment such as terrestrial laser scanners, mobile mapping tools and airborne LiDAR present an opportunity to precisely map India’s resources and infrastructure with faster and more effective solutions.

Survey India 2014 will act as a forum to bring together stakeholders of the surveying and mapping community. Topographical surveying has been an important function for capturing geospatial data for infrastructure and governance-related project and this conference will offer a unique opportunity to bring together users and solution providers.
