Jetson has been invited by GOPR Polish Mountain Rescue Team to test 2 of our production eVTOLs in a mountain emergency response use case.
Representatives of other rescue organizations were invited to observe and provide feedback to ensure a broad and multi-perspective evaluation.
The Jetson team travelled to southern Poland and demonstrated executing mission scenarios flying and reaching multiple destinations including Mt. Lubań (1211m or 3973ft MSL).
Jetson has reached the summit in under 4 minutes demonstrating its performance and ability to quickly reach remote locations.
In demanding strong and gusty crosswind conditions peaking at 16m/s (36mph or 31KTS) the vehicle performed flawlessly demonstrating exceptional stability and control – a feat that many helicopters are struggling to cope with and highlighting the impressive capabilities of the Jetson One platform.
Thanks to its very small footprint, low empty mass of 115kg (253lbs) and folding design, the ONE can operate from narrow spaces and be transported easily while operated by a single person.
The all-electric propulsion and minimalistic design provides readiness in seconds and lacks high maintenance costs usually associated with vehicles serving similar roles today.
The innovative vehicle accelerates the arrival of the so-called ‘rescue vanguard’ – the first responder who provides aid to the casualty before the transport team arrives.
“This is not just a tech showcase, but a real opportunity for a new tool in our work. Equipment like this could enable extremely fast access to casualties—especially in situations where reaching them by ATV or on foot takes dozens of minutes if not longer depending on availability of prepared mountain trails. The Jetson ONE could serve as a ‘rescue spearhead’—the first responder who arrives instantly and can begin action immediately,” added Jarosław Jurczakiewicz, Head of the Podhale GOPR Group.
Real life and practical use cases like this align with Jetson’s mission to redefine the future of mobility where new applications of our vehicle can be applied to a variety of missions including saving lives.
“We are always actively seeking solutions that can genuinely improve the effectiveness and safety of our operations. We don’t wait for ready-made answers—we test them ourselves. Jetson ONE is another step in our continuous improvement process,” said Jerzy Siodłak, Chief of GOPR.
Jetson is evaluating further optimization of the ONE for life-saving operations that will allow first responders to reach previously inaccessible terrain in record time.
“We are proud to test our vehicle in such a demanding environment and with such an experienced partner as GOPR. The insights gathered will help us develop the project based on the real needs of rescuers,” said Tomasz Patan, Jetson founder and CTO.
“Every time nature strikes, and rapid assistance is needed in hard-to-reach places—due to floods, washed-out roads, or inaccessible terrain—we receive countless emails from around the world inquiring about the availability of the Jetson ONE. That’s why we know the Jetson ONE will save lives and make a difference in First Responder applications, especially in remote areas” said Stéphan D’haene, Jetson CEO.
“The GOPR team identified a real-life scenario where, if the Jetson ONE is strategically placed on a mountain summit, it could cover an area up to 700 km² (270 mi²) of otherwise difficult to reach terrain.“ Jetson has started its journey in Poland where the first concept prototype has been developed by founder Tomasz Patan. The company has moved to Italy in 2022 where production of the ONE has already begun. Jetson attracted over 500 customers with the first units being delivered this year. Currently the company is setting up its new headquarters and expanding operations including pilots training in California, USA.
