Between nov. 6-10, the 9th. International Conference for Global Spatial Data Infrastructure (GSDI-9) will take place in Santiago, Chile.
The cartographic engineer Silvana Phillipi Camboim, columnist of InfoGEO Magazine, is going to attend the event and will be sending back exclusive information.
The GSDI conferences have been a forum for the debate on concepts related to spatial data infrastructures in a global level. They have also provided an opportunity for the interaction of technologies which use or are related to geospatial technologies and the management of local, regional and global development policies.
In this edition of the GSDI Conference, themes which relate spatial data infrastructure to the main theme of the event “Spatial Information: Tool for Reducing Poverty” will be particularly important.
In parallel with the GSDI-9, the 9th. International Earth Sciences Congress is also taking place.
