ESRI announced that RouteMAP IMS 4 is now shipping. The latest release of this affordably priced Internet mapping solution increases user flexibility with new out-of-the-box AJAX- and Flash-enhanced Web page templates.
With RouteMAP IMS, you can create a Spanish and French User Interface using the Flash and AJAX templates. Some additional features include new map cartography with street names curved to the street lines, color aerial imagery, and a new release of Tele Atlas Dynamap Transportation, North America street data (United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico).
RouteMAP IMS is designed to help businesses add mapping and routing capabilities to their Web sites. Map templates included in RouteMAP IMS make it easy to create maps with symbols for each company location. They can also create customized map applications using the provided ActiveX, Java, and .NET application programming interfaces (APIs). RouteMAP IMS enables users to generate more business activity by allowing prospective customers visiting their Web site to see maps and get driving directions to their various business locations.
RouteMAP IMS lets users:
• Publish custom maps to the Web with symbols for unique locations.
• Display and print driving directions and maps to locations.
• Search for business locations within a 1- to 3,000-mile radius or draw their own area to search within.
• Create map routes between locations with the option of optimized multiple stops.
• Zoom in, zoom out, pan, and measure distances.
• Edit map feature layers.
• Add additional map layers in ESRI’s shapefile format for additional map customization.
• Access aerial imagery for the United States.
Features in RouteMAP IMS 4 include:
• Businesses—Eighteen million integrated Dun & Bradstreet business listings (United States only) are provided.
• Buffer Search—Find what is nearby along a route and see the results in the driving directions as well as on the map.
• ActiveX, Java, and .NET APIs—Develop custom map applications in the development framework of your choice.
• Dynamic Database Connection—Database locations are updated via active connection to Oracle, dBASE, • Microsoft SQL Server and Access, or other ODBC-compliant applications.
