The Regional Government of Portugal will bet in a new Astronomic and Geodetic Station for the Flores Islands, in Azores Archipelago.
The analysis of financial and technical parameters of the project with Portuguese Geographic Institute is the next step. It is waited that until June it could be celebrated an agreement to create the station in Azores.
When build up, the station will be operated by 12 permanent technicians, astronomers, engineers and other qualified people.
