SuperGeo Technologies provided special WebGIS training course for Taiwan GIS Center. TGIC is a significant staff unit under the Council for Economic Planning and Development, which belongs to the Executive Yuan, the highest administration government agency in Taiwan. TGIC is in charge of regulating and promoting important GIS-related policies, as well as allocating GIS expenditures in Taiwan.
As the Council for Economic Planning and Development is responsible for the promotion of National Land Information System Project, TGIC is then authorized to integrate Geographic Information System technologies into the national project. Therefore, SuperGeo especially organized a WebGIS training program for TGIC, supporting the important government agency to establish a useful platform.
Using SuperWebGIS, SuperGeo’s professional solution for delivering dynamic maps and GIS data along with GIS services via the Web, TGIC successfully set up a platform to effectively publish and display road maps via the Internet. This course also benefits the management and integration of abundant resources from different units, and offers a better environment for users to query GIS data on the Web conveniently. TGIC will also spread newly-learned GIS knowledge to more GIS users in Taiwan.
