Topcon Positioning Systems announced that it recently signed a data license agreement with Autodesk, Inc.
The agreement authorizes Autodesk to use Topcon’s IP-S2 3D Mobile Mapping System data sets in the advertising, marketing, training and distribution of their software where desired. The IP-S2 datasets are in the form of extensive geo-referenced, colorized point clouds.
Topcon is a member of the Autodesk Developer Network and provides sample data to assist in targeted software product development.
The IP-S2 features dual-frequency GNSS tracking, high-accuracy IMU integration and odometry for fast, safe data collection at a cost well below conventional ground mapping methods.

– Railways, Utility Corridors, Waterways
