The 2010 NLPG NSG conference, ‘Everything Happens Somewhere’, Sheffield, UK. 20 October, 2010 – Digital mapping and geographic information systems (GIS) software developer Cadcorp has announced the availability of an application to assist its users in the management of NLPG (National Land and Property Gazetteer) data.

Already deployed at several sites in the UK, the Cadcorp NLPG Data Loader is a simple but powerful application that takes Gazetteer data and builds a database with a structure to match the NLPG model. By holding address information in a structured database, it makes it much easier to present information on people, properties and places in any GIS and mapping system that can read the database directly. Supporting initial data load as well as change only updates, Cadcorp’s NLPG Data Loader provides support for Oracle, Microsoft SQLServer and Microsoft Access databases.

“The NLPG Loader is the latest in a range of applications designed to assist Cadcorp customers in automating the processing of spatial data”, said Mike O’Neil, managing director, Cadcorp, “There is an increased focus on efficiency in the public sector, and we are committed to continue providing ‘joined up’ and automated solutions.”
