On June 11, Brazillian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) releasead five new physical maps of the State Series. The maps of Ceará, Goiás, Paraíba and Piauí have been updated and Rio de Janeiro now receives a previously unseen map. Besides the ones made available today, representations of Acre, Amazonas, Amapá, Bahia, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia, Roraima, Santa Catarina, São Paulo and Tocantins can also be accessed here.
With these maps on hand, users will be able to identify the terrain shape of their states, the highest peaks and the names of hills and mountains, with access to detailed knowledge about the territory.
In the second semester, there will be new or updated maps of other Federation Units. Minas Gerais, Pará and Rio Grande do Norte will have updated versions of maps already available, whereas Alagoas, Espírito Santo and Sergipe will receive brand-new maps.
