First version of the “120 Theses” (MA and Ph.D.) of the period between January 1st 2000 to April 30th 2012, is available for download on the Geographic Information Knowledge Network (GIKnet).
This document is the result of a collaborative work carried out by the International Geospatial Society (IGS) members and external collaborators from Universities and Research Groups.
The importance of Spatial Data Infrastructure and geospatial information in general has led to the compilation of thesis, as a source of information on recent research, from different countries, giving rise to the 1st Version of the document entitled “120 Theses”, which is expected to continue being updated.
The Theses compiled, have been provided by the authors or obtained through publicly available repositories.
The document “120 Theses”, consists of two parts: A paper on 57 Theses in 31 pages in English and one including 63 theses published in Spanish in 208 pages.
The Spanish document includes abstracts of each thesis, plus links to download the full text in the vast majority of cases, and two broad theses with a summary. The English document includes some thesis summaries (not all), along with direct download links or links to the university or institution from which you may access these documents.
To download the documents over 120 theses, the user must be logged in GIKnet. Registration is free and encourages readers to sign in. If you are a member of GIKnet, after logging in, you may access the documents in English and Spanish.
