GCS, a geospatial solutions firm serving Energy, Health, Cyber-Security, Government and other high-tech markets, has expanded its professional staff with four recent hires. The new personnel include a Business Development Director, Operations Director and two Solutions Developers, one with a specialty in systems integration.
“GCS is growing, and our new personnel have the right combination of expertise, skills and ideas to engage our client base while also propelling GCS in new directions,” said GCS Founder and President Alex Philp, PhD. “The GCS team is committed to developing innovative solutions that solve real-world business challenges.”
GCS delivers highly customized solutions that communicate meaningful geographic information and enhance workflow optimization. GCS clients come from a broad spectrum of industry sectors with a common need: streamlined access to business insights distilled from complex data. Technical expertise and collaborative client relationships allow the GCS team to design the powerful, elegant solutions needed to maximize productivity. GCS systems are crafted at the convergence of cloud, analytics, and mobility to ensure the entire enterprise can access answers everywhere, all the time.
Philp explained that each of the new hires has been selected by GCS to meet the company’s current and future needs as it pursues a recently adopted three-year growth strategy. Additional hires are planned this year.
Jennifer Ewan is the new GCS Director of Business Development and Legal Counsel. An attorney, Ewan comes to GCS from the Office of U.S. Senator Max Baucus, where she served as Counsel and Field Director. At GCS, Ewan will direct business development activities in all sectors, manage client relations and oversee contracting issues.
With a background in economic development and business management, Ryan Hansen is Director of Operations at GCS. In addition to his primary responsibilities handling strategic operations, Hansen will leverage his economic development expertise to cultivate the market for GCS Site Selector, a web application that enables state and local governments to attract new businesses and expand their commercial sectors.
Brian Collins is filling the newly created Systems Integrator position in which he will specialize in bridging technology gaps for GCS clients. An award-winning cartographer, Collins previously consulted for GCS as a GIS Analyst and worked in building automation controls, integrating a vast array of smart devices into seamless monitoring and control software based on the Tridium Niagara Framework.
Eric Estes comes to the GCS Development Group from Overwatch where he worked as a developer on that company’s Feature Analyst and LiDAR Analyst software suites. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Estes’ professional experience includes several programming and networking positions.
