The 2013-2018 National Statistics and Geography Program (in Spanish PNEG) was approved by the National Statistics and Geography System (Inegi) during its meeting on September 27.
The 2013-2018 PNEG defines the activities and projects to be implemented during the presidential term by the State Units, consistent with the provisions of the National Statistical and Geographic Information System Strategic Program, and the National Development Plan on matters relating to the National Information Subsystems. It aims to produce information leading to a better knowledge of the country’s territory and its economic, social and environmental realities.
The PNEG 2013-2018 consists of 10 Objectives, 36 Projects, 73 goals and 155 General Activities, that will be conducted by the State and INEGI -UCC during the next next six years in order to assure the development of the System Strategic Program goals, the information requirements of the National Development Plan 2013-2018 and the proper consolidation of the system.
