Agency9, the Swedish provider of web-based 3D visualisation and GIS solutions, has announced support in its CityPlannerOnline for the extensive archive of 3D models from Blom, a European service provider within acquisition, processing and modelling of geographic information. Agency9 now has a streamlined data preparation process to import Blom3D data directly to CityPlannerOnline for its web deployment. With Agency9 solutions, customers can publish very large datasets of Blom3D data on the internet.
Blom3D is the product name for Blom’s archive 3D models. Blom currently has in excess of 340 detailed urban models, covering more than 12,000 square kilometres and detailing more than 20 million buildings.
Agency9 CityPlannerOnline is a cloud service for web based 3D visualisation of projects within urban development, infrastructure and energy. The combination of CityPlannerOnline and Blom3D will provide private and public customers extensive set of new capabilities to leverage value of the Blom3D models. Examples of ready-to-go applications in CityPlannerOnline include geoportal and solutions to visualise and share project illustrations and spatial data online, publish external communication of projects as well as provide solutions for public participation. CityPlannerOnline is created for urban planners, communicators, consultants and GIS technicians to easily create, share and publish project and spatial information from a normal web browser.

This announcement is a logic step in Agency9’s cooperation with Blom. With 3D data available in the Blom3D archive their customers instantly can start benefitting its urban planning or spatial solutions rather than waiting for new data to be produced. This announcement of support for Blom3D is in line with the company’s strategy to support the leading 3D data archives and data processing tools, said Håkan Engman, CEO at Agency9.
The online 3D visualisation and mapping solutions from Agency9 will open new opportunities for our customers and make investment in 3D data more viable, added Esben Fiane, sales director at Blom.
