Seconded National Experts to work at ECDC in environmental epidemiology with the E3 Network team
If you are interested in the E3 Network and would like to work in environmental epidemiology of communicable diseases please consider applying for a secondment to work at ECDC in Stockholm, Sweden for two years. There are a number of opportunities to study environmental and climatic drivers of communicable diseases and to help strengthen EU public health capacity in environmental epidemiology.
The deadline for applying is 17th March 2014. In order to be considered for a secondment applicants should apply in the way described in the call and within the specified deadline. Analysis of Environmental Drivers of Infectious Diseases Tender
The scope of this assignment is to contract epidemiological modelling consultancy expertise to help investigate the local impacts of global environmental change on infectious diseases in Europe. ECDC is looking for advanced epidemiologic analyses and modelling services of eco-climatic determinants of infectious diseases in Europe, using data of the E3 Network. The goal is to provide a quantitative understanding of infectious disease dynamics through mathematical and computational models. The aim is to advance our basic understanding of disease transmission and spread of pathogens in the environment in order to develop decision support tools and early warning systems for selected infectious diseases in Europe. The deadline for applying is April 1st, 2014.
