Trimble Dimensions 2014 opened on Monday 3 November with an overview of new solutions for the many markets the company is serving nowadays. This year, the bi-annual gathering has drawn 4,000 attendees from 80 countries to the venue in Nevada, USA. Steve Berglund, Trimble CEO, kicked off the opening session of the event, which is focusing on the complete package of technology solutions for construction, transport & logistics and agriculture businesses as well as the geospatial industry. Technology is now a mandate for competitiveness, Berglund stated.
Erik Arvesen, vice-president Geospatial Division, pointed out the importance of authoritative data as the underpinning factor in any decision. Trimble Geospatial wants to move from the field, where geospatial data is created into the office to provide the complete solution. Trimble Dimensions is running from 3 through 5 November at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, with numerous technical sessions, offsite demos, and social networking events. In the Trimble Pavillion attendees can see and get up to date with all new technologies and solutions Trimble is offering for mining, agriculture & forestry, oil & gas, energy & water and construction & building.
