Free sessions to provide important updates on Europe’s ambitious Single European Sky initiative
Organizers of the third annual Commercial UAV Expo Europe, an international trade fair and conference focused on commercial drone integration and operation for large enterprise end-users and asset owners, have announced that a two-part session on SESAR-JU Demonstrations Projects will take place 9-10 April during the event, and is free to attend.
As the technological pillar of Europe’s ambitious Single European Sky (SES) initiative, SESAR is the mechanism which coordinates and concentrates all EU research and development (R&D) activities in ATM, pooling together a wealth of experts to develop the new generation of ATM. In 2007, the SESAR Joint Undertaking was set up in order to manage this large scale and truly international public-private partnership.
“We are very excited to provide a platform for demos that illustrate that Europe is on course with its implementation of U-space. We look forward to welcoming the 8 SESAR-JU project presenters to share their initial experiences towards safe and secure drone traffic management,” stated Elly Kreijkes, Conference Chair, Diversified Communications. “The projects will demonstrate different possibilities of automation, as well as seamless information exchange between multiple drone operators and service providers. By April, many of these projects will already have interesting results and lessons learned to be reported on.”
This complimentary programming is open to all Commercial UAV Expo Europe attendees and will take place in the Exhibition Theatre. Following are session outlines:
