Sodex Innovations, an Austrian leader in construction surveying technologies that are equipped directly on heavy machinery, is pleased to announce its participation in the Trimble Dimensions User Conference 2024, marking its official entry into the North American market.

Sodex will have a strong presence at the event, demonstrating a wide range of applications and showing live insights into the technology. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a technical breakout session led by Ralf Pfefferkorn, the CEO of Sodex Innovations, where he will conduct an in-depth presentation on the company’s innovative solutions. Furthermore, Sodex will feature on the main stage as a finalist in the 2024 Construction Startup Competition[3] , the construction sector’s biggest startup competition.

The team will be showcasing the SDX-4DVision and SDX-Compact machine-mounted terrain mapping systems. Integrating advanced sensor technology and AI-driven data processing, the system creates digital twins of worksites while the machine operates. Data is uploaded to the SDX Cloud, allowing for real-time analysis from anywhere. This enables professionals to monitor evolving site conditions, track inventory through automated volume calculations, and make remote data-driven decisions. Time-consuming collection, processing and evaluating is kept to a minimum, delivering live information to everyone on the team!

Pfefferkorn remarked, “We are thrilled to bring our technologies to North America, offering a more efficient way to capture and utilize site data. Trimble Dimensions is the perfect launchpad, as we join a community of innovators shaping the future of the industry.”

Furthermore, in September, Sodex Innovations received the DB Supplier Innovation Award from Deutsche Bahn, one of the largest European railway operators, for its collaboration with Manitou Group on an automated cable surveying project, leveraging Sodex’s capturing and data processing capabilities.

While Sodex has been recognized for its work in rail infrastructure, the company’s technology is designed to serve a variety of industries thanks to its easy installation on vehicles such as wheel loaders and dozers. “We don’t just provide solutions for professional surveyors and trained personnel,” Pfefferkorn added. “Our technology delivers data that everyone on the team can understand and work with, improving coordination on construction sites, asphalt plants and mining operations.”

With its North American kick-off, Sodex Innovations aims to expand its global presence and continue providing cutting-edge solutions that drive the industry forward.
