Following an impressive showing at Trimble Dimensions 2024, Sodex Innovations is proud to announce that it has officially opened for business in North America. The Austrian-based company, known for revolutionizing surveying technology with machine-mounted terrain mapping solutions in Europe, showcased its innovative approach to terrain mapping and data processing to an enthusiastic audience.

During the event, Sodex Innovations highlighted the SDX-Compact, SDX-Compact-OnTop, and SDX-4DVision systems with live demonstrations and interactions with expo attendees. While the SDX-Compacts stand out thanks to their flexibility to transform any construction machine into a scanning system, the SDX-4DVision is permanently installed onto a machine to continuously measure the terrain. These systems, coupled with the SDX-Cloud web platform, allow professionals to monitor site conditions in real-time, track inventory through automated volume calculations, and make data-driven decisions from anywhere.

The Sodex team clinched 1st place in the prestigious 2024 Construction Startup Competition at the expo, besting eight finalists and over 500 global applicants to secure the award in front of a jury made up of representatives from the industry giants Cemex, Caterpillar, Dysruptek, Ferrovial, Hilti, Vinci, Saint-Gobain, Trimble, and Zacua Ventures.

Just one week later, Sodex also triumphed in the Hitachi Construction Machinery Challenge, where the top startups were invited to Georgia to pitch an idea for a potential collaboration with the machine manufacturer. As part of the win, Hitachi will now invite Sodex to join them at bauma 2025 and discuss a pilot integration.

Reflecting on these events, CEO Ralf Pfefferkorn said, “We are proud to be recognized for our innovative solutions by leaders in the North American construction industry, reaffirming our belief that automation is the future of surveying. We are excited to empower companies here with tools that redefine efficiency and data utilization.” Looking ahead, Sodex Innovations will take its award-winning technology to the Future Minerals Forum in Saudi Arabia this January, showcasing solutions tailored to the mining and building materials industries on a global stage.
