Jetson, the pioneering personal aviation company, is proud to announce its first-ever delivery worldwide, made in the United States to renowned entrepreneur and defense-tech innovator Palmer Luckey, founder of Oculus and Anduril Industries.
This historic milestone marks the beginning of Jetson’s global rollout and a bold leap forward in personal aviation.
The Jetson ONE unit was delivered to a facility in Carlsbad, California, where Jetson’s Founder and CTO Tomasz Patan and CEO Stephan D’haene assisted in person with the unboxing and pre-flight checks.
Palmer Luckey, a passionate and experienced aviator, did complete the ground training under 50 minutes prior taking effectively the controls for his first low-altitude flights. A record, demonstrating Palmer’s unique understanding of advanced technologies.
“This delivery is more than a milestone—it’s a statement,” said Stephan D’haene, CEO of Jetson. “Launching our first Jetson ONE with Palmer Luckey, a visionary who has reshaped both consumer and defense technology, sets the tone for what Jetson represents: innovation, freedom, and the future of mobility.” As a company we couldn’t imagine a more impactful endorsement than Palmer Luckey flying the Jetson ONE.
Tomasz Patan, Founder and CTO of Jetson shares: “I still remember the early days when Palmer reached out to us and said he wanted to become a Jetson ONE owner. Originally scheduled for early 2023, the delivery took a bit longer than anticipated. We were very transparent throughout the process, and Palmer appreciated the updates—he often commented, ‘Looks like you guys are doing all the right things. Take your time and do it right.”
The flight training was concluded with the handover of the Jetson ‘pilot-wings’, an exclusive endorsement for Jetson ONE pilots.
Jetson’s collaboration with Palmer Luckey reflects a shared commitment to pushing boundaries and redefining what’s possible in personal transportation. With additional deliveries planned across the U.S. and Europe, Jetson is accelerating toward a future where flying is as accessible as driving. The company plans to continue expanding its U.S. presence with additional deliveries and training sessions scheduled in the coming months.
