The Maptitude Team is proud to share that a map created with Maptitude mapping software was featured in a viral video by The Bulwark, the independent political media outlet with over 1.6 million YouTube subscribers.
The video, titled The Party of “Freedom” Now Wants to Police Your Coffee Order, uses a Maptitude map to illustrate the remarkable reach of Dunkin’ in Massachusetts.
The map, titled “Massachusetts Dunkin’ Donuts – Population within 2-Mile Increment Driving Distance,” visualizes how many Massachusetts residents live within various driving distances of a Dunkin’ location, revealing that over 80% of the state’s population of more than 5.6 million people lives within just 2 miles of one of the chain’s stores.
The video accumulated over 163,000 views within 16 hours of publication, bringing the Maptitude map to a wide general audience and demonstrating the power of location intelligence to make data immediately tangible and relatable.
“Maptitude empowers people to explore and communicate geographic patterns in ways that resonate with everyday audiences,” said Stewart Berry, VP, Maptitude. “A map like this brings the data to life in an instant. It’s one thing to say that Dunkin’ is everywhere in Massachusetts, but showing it visually makes the story undeniable.”
