Trimble has expanded the reach of RTX Fast, its network correction service, across Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. The service provides real-time correction and high-precision, near-instantaneous GNSS positioning, delivered via L-band and IP. This allows operators in the agriculture, automotive, IoT, surveying and construction sectors to work with high-precision positioning without the costs, delays or risks associated with installing physical base stations on site.

Through a redundant network of continuously operating reference stations (CORS), monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Trimble RTX FAST delivers centimeter-level accuracy (averaging 2 cm horizontal / 3 cm vertical RMS), with a convergence time of up to one minute.

The regional expansion addresses several challenges faced by businesses operating in Latin America:

  • Reducing infrastructure costs: Organizations can access high-precision positioning without having to invest in, install or maintain local GNSS base stations, reducing expenses and operational complexity.
